Exploring all corners of the mind through stop motion animation

diane lindo

Diane is a self-taught stop motion animation artist based in Ontario, Canada. Since discovering her passion for this medium in 2017, she has dedicated herself to exploring its endless expressive potential, crafting intricate and emotionally charged works that captivate and challenge viewers.

Diane’s surreal and unconventional storytelling is shaped by her raw inner landscape, rich with figurative symbolism, that is guided by the unconscious mind. Her work often dives headfirst into themes of vulnerability, emotional discomfort, catharsis, and connection – highlighting the importance of releasing stagnant energy from the mind/body without judgment, and inviting viewers to look inward.

Diane’s creative path began in her youth, experimenting with various art forms such as music, photography, writing and painting. These early explorations laid the foundation for her distinctive mixed-media style, which she continues to refine and evolve.
